Landscape Artworks inspired by David Hockney

In term one 2020, our students created some very impressive  artworks inspired by the landscape paintings of David Hockney.

The Key focus of our study of Hockney's paintings was his  use of color and texture Students loved the windy roads and paths in his artwork

. 

The art activity focused on :

• Using complementary and contrasting colours

• Using lines/patterns to create texture

• Using neighbouring colours to build texture

• Using simple shapes such as triangles to create space

• Using simple perspective techniques
